Agra Tour Package- A Popular folk lore of Agra

On your Agra Tour Package, you will come across these effigies carried by the children around the Agra city,

Agra has a history dating back to thousands of years, this tale is from Mahabharat times when the warriors in North India were engaged in the most brutal battle fought in those times.

Barbarik was an excellent warrior and was slated to join the Mahabharata war from the Kauravas side,

Lord Krishna who was on the opposite side ( Pandavas) chopped his head but granted him his last wish of being a spectator to the great war with his head resting on three arrows. The place where the chopped head landed is called Khatu Shyamji and every year thousands of devotees come over here to pay their obeisance to the warrior. About the stories of Lord Krishna, you can hear in your Agra Mathura Vrindavan Tour.

From the popular festival of Dushehra children go around villages remembering this legend, singing songs in his praises,

On the full moon night, the story comes to an end with a mock marriage of Tesu with his beloved Jhanjhi. The history lives over here even today come to Agra to hear some more amazing stories on your Agra tour packages.
